Open Cheer Cup Returns for Its Second Edition and Opens to International Teams

Prague, September 2026 – The Czech Cheer Association (ČACH) is preparing the second edition of the Open Cheer Cup. On 13 June 2027, the competition will return to enteria arena in Pardubice and, for the first time, will also welcome international teams. The competition, held under International Cheer Union (ICU) rules, will take place as part of CHEERSPORT FINALS, the traditional highlight of the Czech cheerleading season.

Following its first edition, the Czech Cheer Association is taking the Open Cheer Cup to the next level for the 2026/2027 season. By opening the competition to clubs from abroad, ČACH aims to create another opportunity for international competition in Czechia and gradually establish the Open Cheer Cup as one of its regular international events.

The Czech Cheer Association builds on its extensive experience in organising major national and international cheerleading events. In July 2026, ČACH served as the host organisation of the ICU European Cheerleading Championships 2026 at Prague’s O₂ universum. The European Championships brought together more than 4,000 participants from 24 countries and 103 clubs, with 266 competitive performances taking place over three days. Approximately 7,000 spectators attended the event.

ČACH is also the regular organiser of the international Prague Cheer & Dance Open, which welcomes Czech and international clubs every year. The most recent edition brought together more than 2,200 competitors from 37 clubs and six countries.

The second edition of the Open Cheer Cup will feature open divisions under ICU rules, giving Czech and international teams another opportunity to compete within an internationally recognised competition format. The full list of divisions, registration details and further organisational information will be announced soon.

Open Cheer Cup Heads to the City of Gingerbread

The second edition of the Open Cheer Cup will take place in Pardubice, a city famous for its traditional gingerbread. Enteria arena Pardubice will provide the stage for Czech and international cheerleading teams during the CHEERSPORT FINALS weekend.

Enteria arena Pardubice is a modern, fully equipped multifunctional venue offering technical and sporting facilities that meet the standards of leading European and international arenas. In addition to its large spectator capacity, the venue includes a dedicated training hall and extensive facilities for athletes, coaches and event operations. This makes the arena particularly well suited to a major cheerleading event, providing space for both competition and team preparation within one venue.

Part of the Highlight of the Czech Cheerleading Season

The Open Cheer Cup will once again be held as part of the CHEERSPORT FINALS weekend, the culmination of the Czech Cheer Association’s domestic competition season. In 2027, the weekend will combine the finals of the Czech competition system with an open competition that will gain a new international dimension.

Opening the Open Cheer Cup to international clubs will give Czech teams another opportunity to compete against teams from abroad without having to travel outside the country, while international teams will have the chance to experience a major cheerleading event in Czechia.

With its second edition, ČACH aims to continue developing the Open Cheer Cup and build on the organisational and sporting infrastructure of one of the biggest cheerleading weekends in Czechia.

Open Cheer Cup 2027 will take place on 13 June 2027 at enteria arena in Pardubice. Open divisions, registration details and further information will be announced soon.
